THE REINHALTE ASSOCIATION OF LEOBEN AS AN EXHIBITION PROJECT

The city of Leoben and the region have a specific feature, which distinguishes it enormously from many conference and congressional places – a high competence in the matter of research, development and industry.

An example for this is the environmental days in Leoben already held for the third time.
On the 18th and 19th September, the Reinhalte association of Leoben organized a trade conference in the Congress of Leoben on the subject sewage plant construction and sludge composting. More than 130 participants from Austria and Germany took part in this event, which combined numerous lectures as well as an exhibition. 

On 1st June 2007, Leoben once more became the show location of a top-class event. The Kiwanis Club Leoben and the hairdresser Wolfgang Aichbauer, better known as “Hairgott” [Hair God] with shops in Leoben and Graz, offered a quite special event to the Leobener people in favor of the Childhood Cancer Help of Styria:

in his saloon in Peter Tunner street, Mr. Aichbauer offered haircuts and styling for a whole day to his customers with the international type stylist Sergei Benedetter.

In the morning, there was a live jazz brunch, in the afternoon Fashion shows.
And in the evening, a gala dress event of the top class took place in the congress of Leoben. 

Alfons Haider modeled the show acts, as the appearance of the Falco Double and the Strauß Orchestra. In addition, the Arkadenhof, the successful catering partner offered a 4-course menu. The decoration was also thrilling – Andreas Stern arranged the Congress under the title “Rosenbarock” in such a way that rooms were not recognizable. .

On 21.6, the summer conference of the RWA Raiffeisen Ware Austria AG took place in the Congress. More than 150 participants took part in the conference and the comprehensive general program. The resonance on event was so positive, that we are giving here, on behalf for other feed backs, that of Ms. Mag. Susanne Aigner, Marketing, RWA:

»The RWA summer conference is more than a pure trade conference. It should offer time and possibility for exchange and entertainment under the warehouse and TOP executives of RWA. Accordingly, the claims are also high every year, which we put in the organization around this two-day event at the venue.  

The congressional center of Leoben with its partners »Hotels« und »Gastronomie [catering]« has done justice to each of our wishes: To accommodate the big number of participants centrally around the conference site, to give a real taste of Styrian-culinary, to guarantee High Tech and Modern in the lecture hall and to preserve parallel ambience and atmosphere of comfort and genuineness.

We have an experience of all employees of the congressional center as very much involved and helpful, with a lot of fun during the work. From the structure of the reception in the main square up to the technical support, the team was conspicuous by professionalism and flexibility because of Mr. Engineer Hirschmann. In close cooperation with the Leobener research society Polymer Competence Center Leoben GmbH and the Montan University of Leoben (CBL member), the plastic economy does research in new concepts for solar collector systems and photo voltaic modules of plastic.

At the end of February, 150 experts discussed in an international symposium about the current status of the development in Leoben. The participation of leading plastic manufacturers and plastic processors (among others BASF, Borealis, DuPont, Isovolta) as well as prominent representatives of leading European Research Establishment makes the forerunner role of the Leobener scientists clear.

For the district council Buchmann and with the interlinking of the existing competences in the field of the plastic technology in the sphere of the Montan University of Leoben and the enterprises of the solar and plastic economy, this event indicates the heights of innovation potentials resulting from the cooperative research.

Innovations and trend in the warehouse and procurement logistics were the contents of the Leobener Logistics Summer from the 12th to the 13th of September, 2007.

The voest alpine Donawitz, followed by a comfortable evening with cabaret entertainment, was started on the first day with an operation management with the rail rolling mill. 

On the second day in the CONGRESS OF LEOBEN, around 100 participants were offered a dense program of lectures and discussions, all about warehouse and procurement logistics.

"CHEMIE MACHT MOBIL" - around 550 congress participants in Leoben

The 9. The European Chemistry Teachers’ Congress, which took place during the period from the 11th to the 14th April, 2007 in Leoben, stood under this motto. During this event, which was held in collaboration with the Montan University of Leoben and with support of the Professional Association of the Chemical Industry and the Federal Ministry for Education, Science and Culture in the Montan University in Leoben, the contribution of chemistry to the mobility of the humanity should be presented with the achievements of the scientists.

The congress was concluded with a farewell evening in the CONGRESS OF LEOBEN, on the invitation of the mayor of the city of Leoben and the association of the chemistry teachers of Austria.
